Luther College to honor Chingwel Mutombu with 2013 Young Alumni Award

Chingwel Mutombu, executive director and founder of First Step Initiative, has been named the recipient of the Luther College Young Alumni Award for 2013.

The Young Alumni Award recognizes Luther alumni who have graduated in the past 15 years and rendered notable service to their profession and society in their vocation or avocation. Read more...

Students honored during Entrepreneurial Showcase

The 28th annual Luther College Entrepreneurial Showcase was held Tuesday, March 19, in Luther College's Peace Dinning Room located in Decorah, Iowa.  Since the initial program in 1986, the goal of the Entrepreneurial Showcase has been to serve as an annual forum for students, faculty, alumni and friends of Luther who are interested in and support entrepreneurship.  Read more... 
Student Research Symposium May 3

Luther's Honors Advisory Committee is pleased to announce the schedule for this year's Student Research Symposium Friday, May 3, is set and posted on the research symposium website at https://luther.edu/symposium/schedule/. There are two separate download-able pdfs: The first includes the full Research Symposium "day-at-a-glance" and the listing of topics, presenters, sessions and abstracts. The second pdf lists the Paideia 112 research presentations.
Luther College Chamber Orchestra concert May 4

 

The Luther College Chamber Orchestra will present a mostly Bach program at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, in the Noble Recital Hall of the Jenson-Noble Hall of Music. Chamber Orchestra is conducted by Daniel Baldwin, professor of music and director of orchestras at the college. The concert is open to the public with no charge for admission. Read more...  


Luther to host the Lucille Stansberry Rosholt award recital May 5

Luther will host the Lucille Stansberry Rosholt Distinction in Accompanying and Collaborative Keyboard Performance Scholarship recital Sunday, May 5 at 4 p.m. in the Noble Recital Hall of the Jenson-Noble Music Hall. The recital will be followed by an award ceremony and reception. The program is open to the public with no charge for admission. Read more...
