Ula Taylor, associate professor of African American studies at the University of California-Berkeley will give this year's Martin Luther King Jr. Day lecture at 8 p.m. Monday Jan. 21 at 8 p.m. in Valders Hall of Science, Room 206. Her lecture, "Black Power within the Nation of Islam," will examine the motivation for joining the Nation of Islam under the leadership of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad in the aftermath of Malcolm X's assassination.
