Published to commemorate the fortieth anniversary of the original installation of Étant donnés and to accompany the first major exhibition on the artwork and its studies, Michael Taylor's book Marcel Duchamp: Etant donnes won the George Wittenborn Prize and was awarded first prize for best museum permanent collection catalogue by the American Association of Art Museum Curators.
