The Next Chapter

Dear(Contact First Name),

It is a pleasure to address many of you for the first time in my new position as CEO of the Women's Fund of Western Massachusetts.

In my many years in the social justice movement, including the past five years in Washington, D.C, I've been inspired by passionate advocates who come together for the tireless work of ensuring the health, respect, justice and empowerment of women and girls.

How will your Women's Fund write the next chapter?

  • By building stronger alliances between organizations and agencies doing work in our priority areas - we will be able to harness the power of partnership and be able to leverage our grantmaking to even greater heights.
  • By expanding our women's leadership training, LIPPI, which we know feeds the pipeline of women leaning-in to roles in public service and policy.
  • And finally, we'll mobilize these Women's Fund-trained leaders (LIPPIsta's they call themselves) on policy issues that impact women and their families. LIPPIsta leaders are coming to a community near you!

I invite you to join us at this exciting, dynamic, time. Today we are launching a week-long social media campaign

#MyWomensFund is Me. It is an opportunity to engage with fellow Women's Fund supporters and staff, LIPPI participants, experts on women's leadership, and grantee organizations.

As part of the effort, I invite you to "meet" me for a Twitter Chat, between 2-3 p.m., on Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Follow us on Twitter (@WomensFundWMass) to be part of the conversation.

Together we can change the landscape for women and girls in our communities. Thank you for your support and I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Warmly,

Elizabeth Barajas-Romn
Chief Executive Officer
