NEMED (HOMES) thanks
Michael McDonald (Clinical 1 Home Medical) for his many years of service on our board of directors. He has served for 10 years and was NEMED president from 2007 - 2009.

Tamme Dustin (Herron and Smith) was voted in for another 3-year term on our board but is stepping off our Executive Committee. Tamme began serving on our board in 2004 and was NEMED president from 2009 - 2011.

Our members have been well-served by these two outstanding leaders.
New Name Revealed!

HOMES thanks our 25th anniversary taskforce, chaired by Agnes Tupper (Hudson Seating & Mobility) for making our anniversary meeting so special.

HOMES also thanks our DJ, Rick Wisler, for creating the video to reveal our new name. (Agnes - I know you were hoping for real fireworks but this is the best we could do!)

HOMES recognizes industry leaders

The awards ceremony at this year's meeting was very emotional. More tears were shed at this meeting than any other! HOMES (NEMED) awards for 2013 were presented to the following members:

The April Mason Home Care Advocate Award was presented to a very surprised Karyn Estrella, HOMES executive director.
 
After honoring his staff and wife, an emotional John Gallagher accepted his award and was so touched he couldn't speak. Followed by emotional acceptance speeches by Jack Hogan and Karyn Estrella.

"This was one of the most moving award ceremonies we have ever had," said Karyn Estrella. "We are going to have to make sure we have boxes of tissue available next year, just in case!"
