Chandler Named Associate Dean
        
Timothy Chandler Timothy Chandler, formerly chair of the Rucks Department of Management, has been named associate dean of the E. J. Ourso College of Business, effective July 1, 2014. Chandler will be responsible for overseeing many of the day-to-day administrative operations of the college. Chandler joined the college's faculty in 1990, and earned his PhD from the University of Illinois.

Traylor Receives TD Ameritrade Scholarship
       
Catherine Traylor, a West Monroe native and a junior majoring in finance at the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business, recently received $5,000 as a TD Ameritrade Institutional scholarship winner. TD Ameritrade selected 10 Next Gen Scholarship winners and invited them to New York City for a visit to Wall Street. The group rang the closing bell of the NYSE.

Rice Awarded $158,000 Board of Regents Grant  
 
The Board of Regents has announced that Dan Rice, an assistant professor in the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business Department of Marketing, has been awarded a Board of Regents Traditional and Undergraduate Enhancement Fund grant for $158,000. Rice's grant is titled "Louisiana State University College of Business Research Lab Mobility and Measurement Enhancement."

LSUCIA Alumnus 19th to Earn Award
           
Laust Helmig, who earned his bachelor's in economics from the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business in 2011, is the 19th alumnus of the LSU Center for Internal Auditing to be awarded the Institute of Internal Auditors' Glenn E. Sumners Student Highest Achievement Award. Helmig is now an associate in Goldman Sachs' Investment Management Division in New York City.

IIA Names LSUCIA Alum Research Award Winner


The Institute of Internal Auditors honored LSU Center for Internal Auditing alumnus Andrew Carmichael the Esther R. Sawyer Research Award at its 73rd IIA International Conference, held in London last June. Carmichael, who earned his bachelor's in finance last May and was an honors student, is the fourth consecutive and sixth LSUCIA alumnus overall to earn this international award.
