Gerry Lane Scholars Fund Established
The family of Gerry Lane announces the establishment of the Gerry Lane Scholars Fund at the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business. Eric Lane, President, Gerry Lane Enterprises, says the intent of the scholarships is to provide young people who want a career in business the kind of financial opportunities his father never had.

Mason Testifies Before U.S. Senate
On June 18, 2014, Hermann Moyse, Jr./Louisiana Bankers Association Professor of Finance Joseph Mason testified before the U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works Committee Subcommittee on Clean Air and Nuclear Safety during a session titled "Climate Change: The Need to Act Now." The Wall Street Journal subsequently referenced his testimony.

Crumbley Recognized for Outstanding Career
LSU Department of Accounting KPMG LLP Professor Larry Crumbley continues to be recognized for his achievements and contributions. The latest such recognition comes from the Pfeiffer University Department of Accounting and Fraud Investigation, which honored Crumbley for his outstanding career service in forensic and investigative accounting.

Workforce Development Next Series Topic
The Certified Louisiana Economic Developer Program will offer Workforce Development, an elective course, July 22-23. The course will present an in-depth look at workforce development and training programs in Louisiana, including workforce investment boards, the Jumpstart program, career centers, incumbent worker training, LED FastStart and Louisiana's Rapid Response program.
