Shreve Named Director of Analytics Program
        
The LSU Department of Information Systems & Decision Sciences has announced that it has named Instructor Joni Shreve director of the Master of Science in Analytics program. Shreve served previously as the program's assistant director and is succeeding ISDS Professor Jim Van Scotter. Van Scotter will remain an active faculty member of the program.

Fraud and Forensic Conference July 28-29
       
The LSU Department of Accounting will host the 2014 Fraud & 
Forensic Accounting Conference on Monday, July 28 and Tuesday, July 29, at the Crowne Plaza Baton Rouge, located at 4728 Constitution Avenue. The two-day event will allow participants to earn up to 16 CPE hours and 13.5 CLE hours. The registration fee for both days is $300.

Maurin/Ogden Recipients Travel to RECon
             
 Five LSU students were recently honored with the inaugural Maurin/Ogden LSU Real Estate Award at the 2014 International Council of Shopping Centers RECon convention. Braden Eddy, Jeremy Lapeyrouse, Brian Brumfield, Kaylan Kuehler and Garrett Mickal were selected as this year's recipients. The award honors former ICSC Chair James Maurin and past trustee Roger Ogden.

MS Analytics Among Nation's Top Programs 
           
BI Software Insight, which offers objective research and reviews of business   intelligence solutions, has named the LSU Master of Science in Analytics program among the nation's top programs. According to BI Software Insight, LSU's program helps "meet the rising demand for data scientists and analysts who are capable of turning data into insights.

Robinson Named Influential Woman in Business

Kimberly Robinson, a 1995 Master of Public Administration alumna and member of the E. J. Ourso College of Business Dean's Advisory Council, was recently honored among the 2014 Most Influential Women in Business by The Greater Baton Rouge Business Report. An awards luncheon was held June 3 for honorees.

Applications for HKPU Exchange Program Being Accepted


Students of the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business have until August 26 to submit their application for the college's international exchange program with Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Students accepted into the program will spend the spring 2015 semester abroad.
