Richard White Jr. Named Dean
LSU has named Richard D. White Jr. as the new dean of the E. J. Ourso College of Business. White, who has served as interim dean since June 8, 2012, is the Marjory B. Ourso Professor and associate dean, a professor in the Public Administration Institute and a professor for the LSU Flores MBA Program. His appointment as dean begins April 1.

2014 Hall of Distinction Inductees Announced
The LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business has announced the members of its 2014 Hall of Distinction class are Gregory Hamer Sr., Rose Hudson and John Landon. This year's class will be inducted at the Hall of Distinction Banquet, which the college will host at the Business Education Complex on Friday, March 28.

ABR Accepts Marketing Instructor's Manuscript Monica Santaella, an instructor in the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business Department of Marketing, had a manuscript recently accepted for publication in the Academy of Business Research Journal. "Involvement in Fashion Advertisement: Image versus Text," coauthored with Jenna Kuttruff and Teresa Summers, is set to appear in Volume 1, 2014 of the publication.

Finance's Lin and Stephens Co-Author Paper Finance professor Ji-Chai Lin and instructor Clifford Stephens co-authored a paper that the Journal of Banking and Finance has published. "Limited Attention, Share Repurchases, and Takeover Risk" focuses on hypotheses relating to unintentional bidding on undervalues targets and risk factors related to announcing open market share repurchases to counter undervaluation.
