MBA Program Receives $75,000 Award
 
The LSU Flores MBA Program has received a $75,000 award from the Louisiana State Board of Nursing that it will utilize to develop current, technological and future state process maps, checklists and performance metrics for the board. EMBA alumni Ryan LeMaire and Kirk Fisher worked to attain the grant, giving their time to help build the Management Consulting specialization.

Crumbley's Novel Gets Third Edition
 
D. Larry Crumbley, KPMG Peat Marwick Endowed Professor in the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business Department of Accounting and the LSU Center for Internal Auditing, recently had the third edition of his Lenny Cramer novel, Accosting the Golden Spire, published by the Carolina Academic Press. This edition was co-written with Chris G. Jones and Stacy A. Mastrolia.

Journal Accepts Economics Professor's Paper
 
Fang Yang, assistant professor in the E. J. Ourso College of Business Department of Economics, recently co-authored a paper accepted by the International Economic Review. "Consumption and Time Use over the Life Cycle," was written with Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia's Michael Dotsey and Wenli Li.

Coleman Partners Wins Rose Award for BEC
 
The American Institute of Architects Baton Rouge Chapter has awarded Coleman Partners Architects a 2013 Rose Award for its work on the construction of the Business Education Complex, home of the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business. A jury of industry professionals reviewed 25 total nominations, including the BEC.

Executive Education Rising Stars Deadline Approaching
     
LSU Executive Education's Rising Stars Program has been scheduled for October 8-10, 2013. The deadline to register is September 20, 2013. The three-day program will be held at the Business Education Complex on the campus of LSU. The program focuses on leadership growth, advancement and success. Attendees typically have one to five years of work experience.
