Four Governors, One Common Passion

Four GovernorsCollectively, Kathleen Babineaux Blanco, Edwin Edwards, Murphy "Mike" Foster, and Buddy Roemer have served as governor of Louisiana for 32 years, beginning in 1972. While these four former governors may not always agree on the same route to take to serve citizens, their connection to one another in the form of their collective passion for the state is undeniable.

LSU Exec Ed to Host Half-Day ACA Program 

Executive Education ACAThe LSU Executive Education will offer a half-day program titled "Navigating the Affordable Care Act" on Thursday, May 9, from 8:00 a.m. to noon. The event will be held in room 1420 of the Business Education Complex on the campus of LSU. A panel of legal, insurance, and economic development professionals will discuss the challenges of adhering to the requirements.

Goldsmith Named MPA Alumnus of the Year

    

GoldsmithPatrick Goldsmith, the director of the House of Representatives Fiscal Division, was honored during this year's PAISA Day celebration as the Master of Public Administration Alumnus of the Year by the LSU Public Administration Institute. PAISA Day honors students, MPA alumni, Pi Alpha Alpha inductees and the LSU MAP Alumnus of the Year.
  
Lawrence Appointed to JFP Editorial Board

    

Fran LawrenceFrances Lawrence, associate dean and finance professor at LSU's E. J. Ourso College of Business, was recently appointed to the editorial board of The Journal of Financial Planning. The journal publishes cutting-edge research and perspectives that will inform, benefit, and inspire the financial planning community. Lawrence is also director of the college's CFP Program.

LSU Executive Education will offer a Real Estate Development and Reuse course May 7-8, at the Business Education Complex. This is a core course in the Certified Louisiana Economic Developer certification series.
