College Inducts 2013 Hall of Distinction Class The LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business inducted the 2013 Hall of Distinction Class on Friday, March 22, awarding the college's highest honor to three deserving alumni and friends. This year's banquet was hosted for the first time at the Business Education Complex. William Balhoff, Toni Stephenson and Robert Stuart Jr. are the latest individuals to be inducted.

SEI Names Third Annual LSU 100 Businesses
The LSU Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute will host its third annual LSU 100: Fastest Growing Tiger Businesses on Friday, April 26. Zywave Donates Nearly $100K in Software
The E. J. Ourso College of Business Department of Finance has received a donation of 50 licenses of financial planning softeware valued at $100,000 from Zywave Inc.. Headquartered in Milwaukee, Wis., Zywave is a software compnay that provides software as a service product for finaincial planners and insurance brokers.

Accounting Conference Date, Speakers Set
The LSU Department of Accounting will host the 2013 Fraud & Forensic Accounting Conference on Tuesday, July 29 and Wednesday, July 30 at the Crowne Plaza Baton Rouge, located at 4728 Constitution Avenue. Authors Joseph Petrucelli and William K. Black and several accounting and fraud experts will be featured thorughout the event.

PAI's Llorens, Morozov Appointed to BR Boards
The LSU Public Administration Institute had two of its professors appointed to local boards. The Capital Region YMCA named Assistant Professor Jared Llorens to its board of directors, and the executive committee of the Baton Rouge Chapter of the Association of Government Accountants has named Assistant Professor Boris Morozov as its director of Education.

March was a busy and productive month for the E. J. Ourso College of Business. We proudly inducted William Balhoff, Toni Stephenson, and Robert Stuart Jr. into our Hall of Distinction. It was the first time we used the new Business Education Complex for the gala dinner event and, with Chef Don Bergeron's gourmet fare, The Rotunda became, at least for one night, the best restaurant in Baton Rouge.

SEI Taking Part in Wounded Warrior Weekend | |
The LSU Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute will take part in Wounded Warrior Weekend, which will be held April 10-14. Specifically, SEI will conduct a session to acquaint veterans with the fundamentals of starting their own businesses. Titled Entrepreneurial Bootcamp, the SEI session will be held Friday, April 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the National WWII Museum.
