The Canada Revenue Agency wants to help you get peace of mind
|
The revenues collected by governments help to support your community and the quality of life that all Canadians enjoy. The CRA works with Canadians who have tax and other government programs debt to help them pay the amount they owe. If you owe money, the CRA's collections webpage and video give you helpful information about the options you have to pay your debt.
Get some peace of mind like the nine out of 10 individuals who owe tax and pay it on time. Any amount you owe must be paid in full as soon as you are notified that you have been assessed or reassessed. The CRA makes it easy for you to pay online; you can make your payment anytime, from anywhere.
If you cannot pay the full amount you owe, get in touch with us right away or visit our collections webpage for more information. Ignoring your debt does not make it go away. Those who do not pay in full and on time or do not work with the CRA to resolve their debt may face legal and financial consequences.
