Honor Clara Barton and Audrey Davies November 4th
Unitarian Universalist (UU) Clara Barton is best known for her work in organizing nursing services during the Civil War and later founding the Am erican Red Cross. She did not start this work until she was over forty -- in an era when many women died before reaching that age. The UU Clara Barton Sisterhood was created in her name as a way for local women's groups, congregations, and individuals to honor women aged 80 and over for their contributions to their congregations and communities. At our November 4th Sunday service, we will honor our own Audrey Davies, who turns 80 on November 7, 2012, by sponsoring her for enrollment into the Clara Barton Sisterhood.

Connecting with Other UU Churches by Cheryl Brigante
There are several ways you can find out how other congregations are handling worship services, religious education, financial problems, and lots of other services.
One easy way is to subscribe to electronic discussion groups in topics about beliefs, worship, education and congregation management. Go to http://www.uua.org/lists/175584.shtml to see the most popular topics. I have found good ideas on SmallTalk about small congregations and on Reach-L about teaching religious education to children.

Bats in the Belfry - Scary!!
Just kidding. Thanks to Bob Champagne-Willis and Ellen Dehm (and their oddly large hands) keeping things zipped up in the tower, no bats to worry about.
