The spring real estate market is in full swing. Whether you're considering putting your house on the market or just curious, see what's for sale and what has sold in our community in this month's neighborhood housing report.

Welcome!

Greetings, neighbors.

Summer is in full swing with kids out of school. Please be courteous to your neighbors and pay attention to those around you. That applies to your kids too; we've had some concerns about kids acting up.

Playground

Four new swings for the park are on the way! Baby swings were ordered too. They are on back order and will be here mid July.

Community BBQ
Help us spread the word about our community BBQ on Friday, August 22 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the pavilion. In the past we've had poor attendance, so we really want to make this a fun neighborhood event to continue every year. We'll have yummy food, activities for all ages, and some great tunes. Please mark your calendars for this not-to-miss event.

Foxes
We have had a lot of complaints about foxes, and we have a boatload of them in Bay Hills. Unfortunately, there isn't much we can really do about them.  The county does nothing about them. Trappers charge $1,000, and they only trap a few and move them somewhere else.  So keep the cats close. If you have any other suggestions, please send them to me at president@bayhillsonline.com.

Covenants Reminder
If you're having a fence installed this summer, please read and obey pages 20 and 21 in the community covenants.

Next Board Meeting
There is no meeting in July. Please join us for the August BHCA board meeting on Tuesday, August 5 at 7:30 p.m. at O'Loughlin's.

Board Meeting Minutes
Sincerely,

Paul Cain
BHCA President

Bay Hills Community Association Meeting

Tues., Aug. 5, 7:30 p.m.

The Bay Hills Community Association will hold the next meeting on Tuesday, August 5 at 7:30 p.m. at O'Loughlin's.

Bay Hills Community BBQ

Fri. Aug. 22, 5 - 8 p.m.

Join your Bay Hills neighbors for a community BBQ on August 22 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Bay Hills pavilion. We'll have yummy food, games for all ages, and good tunes. We could still use help with planning. If you'd like to be involved, please contact Shannon Pierce at 410-562-7832 or shannonpierce2013@gmail.com.

Mosquitoes

Pat Lynch, president of the Broadneck Council of Communities, joined us at our June meeting. The council holds informative events like the recent election series. She's trying to gauge interest on an event featuring a speaker about mosquito spraying. The county provides the service to a set number of communities each year as part of our tax dollars. Bay Hills would have to get on a waiting list if the community wanted to take advantage of the service. The purpose of the speaker would be to inform residents about the spraying process, chemicals used, and risk vs. advantages. Please let me know if you'd be interested in this event by emailing Paul Cain at president@bayhillsonline.com or you can email Pat Lynch at patricia.lynch@verizon.net

Community Dumpsters
October 27 - 29
Many of you have asked when we will have dumpsters in the neighborhood. The county only provides dumpsters once a year now, and they rotate fall and spring. This year, the dumpsters will be in the pool parking lot October 27 - 29, so mark your calendars for fall cleaning.

Recycling in Arnold Park
The county will provide dumpsters in Bay Hills this October, but if you need to get rid of stuff now, try the dumpsters located in Arnold Park. You can bring anything you would normally put in your at-home recycling container, and it saves you from having to keep cardboard boxes piled up--or anything else that fills the container quickly. For more information, visit recyclemoreoften.com. Click on "Recycling Information," then "Parks."

Welcome New Residents!

If you are new or have a new neighbor, we would like to drop off a welcome bag from the Bay Hills Community Association. Additionally, if you have a business, we would be happy to include one of your business cards in the welcome bag. Please contact Diane Ireland at 410-626-7130.

BHCA Resale Packets

If you are selling a home in the community, please contact Bay West Management to obtain a resale packet. The packet contains the community's by-laws, covenants, and community regulations. The packet should be furnished to the buyer prior to the property sale closing. Bay West will confirm if there is any balance due on the homeowner's account before releasing the packet.

Sellers are expected to clear their BHCA account prior to closing on a home sale. The title company representing the buyer is required by law to research obligations related to a property. These obligations include homeowner association memberships, outstanding dues, liens, etc. To request a resale packet, contact Michelle Boss or Ralph Hudson at Bay West: 410-897-0207.
