Welcome!
Greetings Neighbors,
February can be a long, cold, boring month. But don't let it! Our area has lots to offer, especially Annapolis Restaurant Week, February 25 - March 3.
You can also take this time to get involved with your community association. The Bay Hills board has our next scheduled meeting Tuesday, February 5, at 7:30 p.m. at O'Loughlins. We have some exciting plans to spruce up our community, including giving an entrance a face lift. We love your feedback and emails.
Come, meet your new board members, and play a part in keeping Bay Hills one of the best communities in the Annapolis area.
On the same subject, try to attend the community meeting February 4, 6-7 p.m., at the Broadneck Library conference room regarding the proposed Rite Aid in the Bay Hills shopping center.
Sincerely, Paul Cain

Trash Pickup at Basketball Courts County discontinued trash pickup, BHCA takes action
You may have noticed garbage bags left at the basketball courts for the last few weeks or so. Thanks to those of you who emailed or called to inform the board of this issue.
In the past, the landscaper would either pick up the trash or put it by the roadside for pickup. After a few calls to the county, we found out they will not pick up the trash unless that parcel of land pays for it. We have signed up for this area to have trash picked up and will finalize this at the upcoming board meeting. .
If anyone would like to discuss this decision, please come to the board meeting Tuesday, February 5 at O'Loughlins at 7:30 p.m. |

To learn more and discuss this change to our community, including increased traffic, attend the meeting February 4 at the Broadneck Library conference room. Neighborhood Housing Report
Courtesy of Ann Chumney, Coldwell Banker Agent and 18-year Bay Hills Resident
After six years of a struggling market, the prediction is that this year will be a positive one for the housing industry. All market researchers report that we have turned the corner in 2012, with the number of home sales up 13.8% over 2011 in Anne Arundel County and median home prices up 5.4%. They predict that the same forces that caused these increases will be in play again this year: housing demand fueled by low interest rates, fewer foreclosures and a low inventory of homes on the market. The supply of homes for sale fell to 4.8 months, the lowest level since 2005.
The inventory is really low so agents are calling me to see if we have anything coming on in our neighorhood. If you or someone you know are planning to sell, please call me for a free market analysis, and if you list with me, I provide professional marketing and photography, a home-staging consultation and a complimentary pre-listing basic house cleaning. You can contact me at kchumney@cbmove.com or 410.693.4880. Please send me your email for the MarketWatch monthly. Let's get our neighborhood housing prices back up!
