Maui Open Studios 2014

February is a great month to visit Maui-- Not only are there thousands of Humpback Whales visiting, but there are many art events happening. Maui Open Studios is a self guided tour of artists studios on Maui over three weekends. Not only that, but the Maui Plein Air Painting Invitational is happening in February. My open studio event is happening the weekend of February 8-9. Start planning now and come to Maui!
 

SPLASH Watercolor Books by Northlight Books
"Hanalei Farmer's Market II"
 was just accepted for inclusion in SPLASH 15,
a compilation book of watercolors from 
some of the best watercolor painters around the world. 
The book will be published in June 2014.
 
I will have two paintings included in SPLASH 14,
due out in June 2013. The two paintings are 
"Yellow Hibiscus" and "Abundance". Yellow Hibiscus Abundance  

 

AWARD IN SPAIN WITH NAWA 

My painting, "Goldfish-bowl Blues" was awarded one of only six awards given at the 3rd Iberoamericana de la Acuarela, an international watercolor exhibition in Madrid, Spain. I'm participating in the exhibition with North American Watercolor Artist members Carol Carter, Keiko Tanabe, Mark Mehaffey, and Thomas W. Schaller.goldfish
