Hello!
Feeling like you are in content overload when you go online lately? I hear ya! In this issue, I have pulled some articles that really are content worthy! But let's talk a little about content... TIP: - Recognize that while the SEO "buzz" is all about producing fresh content for the Google crawlers to find, that means there is a lot of fluff and repetition because of the craze to produce fresh content to improve search rankings.
So, what's the result? - A lot of overkill on hot topics... blah, blah, blah...
What does this mean to you?YOUR blogs and social media posts should be relevant to YOUR followers and those you are trying to attract - don't try to keep up with the Joneses just for the sake of trending topics. Enough already! MORE TIPS: - Content quantity doesn't always = content quality. A blog post is fine at 100 words and should be no more than 1000 if you want to attract subscribers. (See Chris Brogan post below)
- Talk TO your audience, not AT them. Be like you are in real-life engagement with them.
- Content "creation" is not necessary - you have plenty of material provided to you in your day to day interaction with clients, customers, donors, and your general business encounters. Your subscribers want to know more about the inside story, what makes you and your business tick! Relay those stories! Like this one..
So grab a cup of joe "And Now Here's Something We Hope You'll Really Like!"
