Facebook updates!

Facebook thumbs up or down

Bad News:
You never quite know from month to month what Facebook is up to since they went public and their stocks dropped. Feel free to post a question if you are having issues with Facebook and we'll do our best to post the latest info.

FYI: There are 2 new Facebook bugs that affect the resizing of apps installed to Facebook Pages and the Login with Facebook button on forms and voting. No news yet on when this will be resolved.

Good News:
The long awaited ability to "SHARE" an item on your mobile app is here! If you don't see the option, make sure you have the latest update!

Hello, Small Business Owners & Non Profit Leaders!

Are you maximizing your online presence?

Here are 3 valuable tips to help you learn how to think in terms of effective marketing. These mistakes were chosen based on what we see DIY marketers do most commonly...
Don't Bury the Lead/Your Headline

In this day of speed and multitasking, you can't afford to have faith that everyone will read or even scroll all the way down to the end of your emails or messaging anywhere of any kind.

Keep the most important message "above the fold." That's an old newspaper term that still applies on the internet. Don't make anyone scroll to catch your call to action or headline news - and that applies to your email campaigns, too!
Don't Forget to Cross Promote - Many Social Media accounts are not necessarily named the exact name of the business or organization due to lack of name availability or just plain lack of foresight in terms of future usage. Why would you want to miss the chance of someone getting to your various sites?

ALWAYS provide links to everywhere in all your materials. Too many email signatures, websites and social media accounts lack links to every presence.

Email Signature elements
Image Clash - If you have a high end business, but are promoting with conflicting marketing material, what's the point? Really?

Like the image above, if you convey conflicting branding in your communications with your customers, they will be either confused or feel deceived when they walk in your door.

For example, if you are high-end specialty store, why would you want to attract the type that only shops for bargains with bargain messaging (and vice versa)? Nobody wins in that scenario.

Consistency with matching logos, coloration, images, headers, and messaging can make all the difference in the world in promoting your business. Bring the same feel of your store or organization to all your online presences and marketing materials. There should never be a question in a prospect's mind as to whether they have landed on one of your pages.
