FYI ALERT TO F ACEBOOK ISSUES YOU MAY BE EXPERIENCING...
For the last several weeks, those of you who use Constant Contact and have customized tabs on your Facebook page have been experiencing glitches and bumps!
Personally I have been noticing a lot of bumps on Facebook since I am there for clients and myself daily. Here are some issues that are causing some problems for some of you. Facebook is not known for having great support, so this is the best information I could gather for you through my phone calls and live chats with other platform support teams.
Customized Tabs for Facebook not working? Currently, Facebook has a bug that occurred once before in September. If you are IN your business page, and click on a tab, it comes up blank. However, if you enter your business page through your Personal Profile HOME page, you will be able to see your tab content. So take some comfort in knowing that is how your followers see your page and they should see your content until this matter is resolved.
Constant Contact Simple Share for Facebook not working? This might be the same bug that is causing your Simple Share for Facebook to not work without a need to refresh. They have determined that it IS a Facebook issue and not theirs, and since it is affecting their business are working hard to determine a fix or workaround.
Temporary Option A: You can push through by clicking on the refresh button in the error message and allowing the refresh to occur and then click publish.
Temporary Option B: Use the same link that appears with your Twitter or LinkedIn Simple Share and post manually on your Facebook page. Or, if you do not have any other account except Facebook, you can always get the link of your email and post it manually.
