Business Needs Survey
Your input is needed!
Mount Marty College, the Yankton Area Chamber of Commerce, and Yankton Area Progressive Growth have partnered together to collect information about the education and training needs of local businesses and organizations in the Yankton area.

The purpose of this survey is to develop appropriate workplace training opportunities and recognize gaps that exist. The data obtained from this survey will provide the project partners with a comprehensive overview of the training needs of the business community which will facilitate the development and planning of workplace training opportunities. It is only through a clear understanding of the needs of the business community that appropriate educational programming can be coordinated and locally delivered.

The Yankton Chamber of Commerce along with RTEC and Vishay Dale Electronics represented the Manufacturing industry during the Yankton High School Homecoming Parade.

Sapa Extrusion Expansion
Sapa Extrusion Americas celebrated the installation of a new extrusion press at its Yankton, S.D. plant.

The new press has been installed to accommodate continued production growth in the Midwest region. With an increased need for capacity, Sapa Yankton anticipates full utilization of the press to provide extruded aluminum to customers primarily within the building and construction industry.

Please join us in celebrating this accomplishment at their Expansion Ribbon Cutting being held September 30th @ 9:00am!

Riverside Park Boundless Play Area
The Yankton Parks Department has applied for a $10,000 Community Kickstarter grant from The Wellmark Foundation in regards to the boundless play area/equipment budgeted for 2017 in Riverside Park. This is the type of grant that has to have public participation in the form of on-line voting to determine the 35 winners in Iowa and South Dakota. The voting takes place September 23 through October 7.

The project name is Riverside Park Boundless Play Area.

To vote please visit the site: www.wellmarkfoundationcommunitykickstarter.com/
Click on "Vote" in the upper right hand corner.

Scroll down the page to find the search box and type in "Riverside" into the box. Click the search button, then scroll down the page to find the "enter the words box" and type in the image numbers into the box. Click save vote.

Please do this once each day through October 7.
