A Minimum Wage Community Forum has been scheduled for Tuesday, October 21st.     

  

Where:  Regional Technical Education Center - 1200 W. 21st St. in the Community Room 

 

Speakers will weigh in on the pros and cons of the Minimum Wage in South Dakota.

2015 BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTION

 

Yankton Area Chamber of Commerce By-Laws Requirements-Election Process

Article IV, Board of Directors

 

The Directors Nominating Committee is presenting the following slate of four (4) candidates for a three-year term. The candidates have been contacted and are willing to accept directorship responsibilities.

 

Additional names of candidates for Directors can be nominated by petition, bearing the signatures of at least twenty (20) members in good standing of the Chamber. Such petition shall be filed with the Directors Nominating Committee within ten (10) days (October 20 - October 30, 2014) after notice has been given of the names of those nominated. The determination of the Directors Nominating Committee as to the legality of the petition shall be final.

 

If no petition is filed within the designated period (October 20 - October 30, 2014), the nomination shall be closed and the nominated slate of candidates shall be declared elected by the current Board of Directors at the November 5th board meeting. If a legal petition shall present additional candidate(s), the names of all candidates shall be arranged on a ballot in alphabetical order. Instructions will be to vote for four (4). Ballots shall be mailed to the membership within five (5) days after the deadline for receiving the petitions. Petitions are to be returned to the Chamber, 803 E. 4th St., Yankton, SD 57078.

In celebration of South Dakota's 125th birthday, all Statehood Celebration Committees are invited to create or provide up to 2 or more ornaments for the grand Rotunda Christmas tree and other displays in the Capitol during the annual holiday display to showcase your community.
