Carmen, Chamber, and Community Members:

Thank you for visiting my Washington office. I am glad we had a chance to meet and discuss the great things going on in Yankton, including new infrastructure and economic development projects.

As you continue to work on development projects, like Napa Junction, please let me know how I can be helpful. I appreciate your input and look forward to continuing to work with you on these issues.

Thanks again for visiting. It is always a pleasure to have South Dakotans stop by. Please let me know if I can be of assistance to you in the future.

Getting to Know Your Chamber Board

Dan Somsen

Business:  Yankton Rexall Drug Company

Job Title: President/Co-Owner

How long in business: I have been part of the business for 20 years. The business is celebrating its 91st year of business.

How long have you been a Chamber Member? Rexall has since the beginning.

What strength do you bring to the board to represent the membership? Longevity on the board (6 years). With our business in the historic downtown district, I consider myself a representative of that ever changing district on the board. Having been a staff pharmacist at Avera Scared Heart Hospital, a Director of Pharmacy at Avera St. Luke's hospital in Aberdeen and now a Pharmacist owner of community pharmacy, I have a unique perspective of the healthcare business and how it affects our community.

Jon Schallert Business Seminar

We would like to thank everyone who turned out for the Jon Schallert Business Seminar on April 15.

"The seminar offered a new kind of recipe for success! Tools for change, focal points, creative ideas and a pinch of humor easing the business reality challenges of today! Jon's message was loud and clear ~ YOU CAN "Increase Sales & Profits As A Destination Business!" I left with such a revived positive energy that I sold more product in two hours than I normally would in an entire day! Thank you Jon for firing me up! Thank you Yankton Chamber and Partners for this great opportunity!" ~ Cathy Clatworthy, LilyCrest
