Member Spotlight -
Edward Jones - Devin Anderson
What is the biggest value to you of being a Chamber Member?
I was a part of the Yankton Chamber Leadership Class. The biggest take away I had was the difference our group made in young adults lives at the boys and girls club. We helped young adults learn more about the industries in Yankton, search for jobs and conducted mock interviews. I know of multiple students who attended the boys and girls club leadership class who accepted positions at local employers here in Yankton. Although the networking was great with the leadership program, I view Chamber members as a group of locals seeking to help out each other when needed.
Who is Edward Jones - Devin Anderson? Although my title is Financial Advisor, I really think of myself as a Retirement Specialist. My favorite part of this career is helping people plan for the future by understanding their individual goals. Goals include planning for retirement, paying for education, leaving a legacy, or purchasing a house. It is never to late to start investing!

EMV Cards
EMV Cards (Europay, MasterCard, Visa) are also known as chip cards or smart cards. They will be distributed by Visa and MasterCard this year in the U.S. The have already been used in other countries. This is a change from the magnetic stripe. The chip is used to help minimize fraud in the credit card world and requires a customer PIN to authenticate every transaction.
What does this mean for me?
You may need to change your credit card terminal to a chip-enabled terminal by the end of 2014.
To learn more about EMV Cards you can visit www.level2kernel.com/emv_guide.html.
