Life on the Creek!

Spring would not be complete without a new eaglet hatching along Ayers Creek. This year was no exception with one new resident in our closest nest.

We were treated to an amazing sight as we watched our newest addition take his first flight. After days of wing flapping he finally got airborne! He circled around the nest for a couple of minutes before heading in for a hesitant landing back at the nest. We felt like proud parents watching his maiden voyage.

The other juveniles continue to put on a great show soaring, playing and hunting over the creek. We have watched them bickering over fish, fighting off an osprey and even scoring a muskrat on a recent hunting expedition.

Father's Day Paddle

Enjoy a fun family outing and create a special memory for dad this Father's Day.

We had some great paddles for Mother's Day, now it is dad's turn. Why not show him how much you appreciate all he does by treating him to a day of paddling at Ayers Creek Adventures.

Dad paddles free on June 15 & June 16 with at least one child (may be adult child) paying full price. Offer good for Forested Wetlands and Salt Marsh Tours and Kayak Rentals. Reservations Suggested.

Thank You to Our Local Schools

The 2013 season was off to a great start with our annual visit from the Stephen Decatur Middle School (SDMS) 8th grade class. We always have a great time with this group both paddling and playing games in the yard. This year we added KanJam to our "on shore" activities. This was a big hit with the kids and Ms. Hancock.

We also enjoyed a paddle with the Most Blessed Sacrament (MBS) 8th grade class as they made the most of a rainy end of school celebration.

Thank you so much to both schools for your continued support of Ayers Creek Adventures!!
