Life on the Creek!
Spring would not be complete without a new eaglet hatching along Ayers Creek. This year was no exception with one new resident in our closest nest. We were treated to an amazing sight as we watched our newest addition take his first flight. After days of wing flapping he finally got airborne! He circled around the nest for a couple of minutes before heading in for a hesitant landing back at the nest. We felt like proud parents watching his maiden voyage. The other juveniles continue to put on a great show soaring, playing and hunting over the creek. We have watched them bickering over fish, fighting off an osprey and even scoring a muskrat on a recent hunting expedition. |
