As we start our holiday preparations this month it is worth taking the time to reflect on all the blessings we have been given, the friends and family we love and the traditions we treasure.  I learned a new word recently, wabi-sabi. It is a Japanese word whose meaning has evolved over generations to mean perfectly imperfect or finding beauty in imperfection. I love this concept as sometimes we get swept up in having everything 'perfect'. Not surprisingly this can lead to a great deal of stress and sometimes even disappointment. I think it is when we can step back, take a breath and realize perfection is not always possible or even desirable that we can truly start to enjoy this magical time of year.
