Using Summertime Fun

To Find a Job!

The summertime weather creates great opportunities to meet people in fun and casual settings. You never know where you might meet a person who has a connection or job opportunity.

The good news is that when you are out having fun you appear relaxed and confident...traits that are attractive in successful job seekers.

Be creative and see how you can get out of the house, have fun and possibly make a good connection for your search.

Places where you can connect with others, stay healthy and improve your state of mind:

Go for a walk around your neighborhood or at a local park or playground
Sign up for a class
Hit the golf course or tennis court
Visit the local Farmer's Markets
Art Fairs and local festivals take place weekly throughout the summer
Go to the beach
Volunteer for a local event, charity or festival
Weddings, parties, BBQ's - introduce yourself to someone you don't know
Take a class at the Home Improvement store
Hit the library and see the local happenings they have posted
