BEYOND THE CENTER

A CELEBRATION OF THE HIDDEN GEMS IN ISRAEL

The 2013 theme of Reel Israel showcases the emerging Israeli film industry, offering a glimpse of the communities outside Tel Aviv and Jerusalem - those communities in the periphery of  Israel,  geographically and metaphorically.

Beit Shean, a peripheral community, has maintained a partnership
with Cleveland since 1995 which focuses on creating meaningful
and personal bonds between Clevelanders and individuals there,
in an effort to increase connections to Israel, Jewish identity,
community development and volunteerism.

This documentary-based series will celebrate Cleveland's
relationship and dedication to the people of the city and region of
Beit Shean.
