Framework For Our Future Input Expo
Goes "Virtual"
If you weren't able to attend one of the Framework For Our Future Input Expos held in six different counties during the last two weeks of April you still have an opportunity to get involved by visiting the Virtual Input Expo.
The materials and activities from the Input Expos are now available online to help you:
- Learn about transportation, housing, energy, and land use issues, needs, and impacts.
- Share ideas through activities such as surveys, worksheets, and online polls.
- Discuss questions, comments, ideas, and concerns on letsdecidedhow.org
"We reached a lot of people with the Input Expos, but we'd like to make the information and input opportunities available to all residents of the region so we can continue the conversation about the Framework and important community issues," said Sarah Lucas, Regional Planner at the Northwest Michigan Council of Governments.
The Virtual Input Expo is part of a large-scale project called Framework for Our Future, which will develop a regional resource - or a toolkit of sorts - of strategies to support The Grand Vision. The goal of the project, which will continue through 2014, is to provide communities with the specific tools and action steps they need to move The Grand Vision forward.
The primary focus of the Virtual Input Expo is to share information and get feedback on four issue areas identified by The Grand Vision: Housing, Transportation, Commercial Corridors (Growth & Investment), and Energy. Input and ideas from the Virtual Input Expo will be reviewed by project partners, shared with local leaders, and used in development of the Framework.
Learn more and offer your input by visiting the Framework For Our Future Virtual Input Expo.
