Middle School Wednesday WEEL 

Students simulate and learn about the world of robotics!


They visit the 
Broad Theater to see
Living with Wolves, and

they learn about 
environmental law.
Setting up for the County 
Science Fair, 
  and listening to guest speakers.
  
Students hear from 
Weizmann alum!
They study about communities and societies while tackling DBL projects,
and they learn new research skills on the library WEEL trip.
 
Students & staff also learn from
local professionals.

Weizmann students have been busy this week, from dancing and celebrating Israel's independence to dissecting grasshoppers, observing chemical reactions, and creating Hebrew memory boxes...and how was your week?
                        
    
                  
          
         
   
       
  
        
                   
Oh, The Places We ARE Going!
Thanks to two amazing partnerships, our middle school students 
will soon be sea-bound and sky-bound!  

The 6th graders will be joining their Astro Camp buddies 
from Temple Beth Hillel Day School, May 16-18,  
to participate in a CIMI (Catalina Island Marine Institute) program!

The 7th & 8th graders will be partnering with New Horizon School,
our Daniel Pearl concert colleagues, May 22-25,
for an exciting trip to our nation's capital, Washington, DC!
Board Corner
 Learn more about next school year and what it holds 
for our students and families at the annual
State of the School gathering, May 25, 6:30-7:30 pm.
(Child care during the SoS gathering will be available 
with pre-registration, watch for details.)

Prior to the meeting, from 6:00-6:30 pm, check out
what's going on in our classrooms this year
as the teachers and students host an Open House.

            The board will meet following the State of the School, at 7:30 pm.

Did you know our school yearbooks are student designed and created?
For the 3rd year in a row, 7th and 8th students had the option to
participate in the Yearbook Elective.
This year, 5 students worked diligently, 2 as co-editors,
to produce a special keepsake that all students will treasure!
Orders, due by June 1, are now being taken in the office.
The cost is $25 each.
Special days/times (Tues. & Wed., June 14 & 15, 10-10:25 am) have 
been allotted for yearbook signing celebrations.

Monthly Mitzvah Project - - Food Items Needed!
The 4th grade class will be making one more visit this year
to Friends In Deed, as part of their class mitzvah project.
We would like to send them with boxes of donated, 
non-perishable food items for their many clients.
