Year-end Field Trip to the Beach
The last multi-grade field trip for this school year was a real winner!  K-5th grade visited Cabrillo Marine Museum, on the beach!  Each class donated large bags of empty aluminum cans as an entrance fee to the aquarium.  They saw large ("really big") lobsters and jelly fish, some with huge mouths that were suctioned onto their glass tanks. Below are pictures of the students, studying marine life and hatching baby grunion!

Can You Guess...Who is Chimping Around?
Can you guess which student is being amused by the chimp?
Or, perhaps it is the student amusing the chimp?
Either way, can you guess who it is?

Ask Mrs. Snyder if you want a hint!
2nd Grade, Hard at Work
The second grade students helped to transform the old fountain into a succulent planter, adding plants around the base.

Attention Alumni
We would love to include highlights of your successes in our last Hadashot of the year, which is next week's edition.  If you are graduating, moving on to another college/university, received honors of any sort, or have anything else about which to brag, please send us an email by 12 noon next Wednesday.  Emails can be sent to Mrs. Snyder at lsnyder@weizmann.net.
Summer Camp is on the Horizon
Camp Ramah in California is delighted to share that it has received a grant to provide scholarship funding for first-time campers from smaller Jewish communities.  The Weizmann Day School community qualifies for this generous funding, and Ramah is offering $2,500 toward a 4-week program and $1,500 for the Gesher 2-week program.  One Happy Camper will provide additional funding for first-time campers, so don't hesitate - sign up for camp today!  Visit www.ramah.org for further information or to complete an application.  If you have any questions, feel free to ask Mrs. Feldman.

Join us next Thursday, 6/11, 4:30 pm in Galpert Sanctuary, to celebrate the 8th grade students at their Graduation Ceremony.  All are welcome and encouraged to attend.  Remember, even though there is no charge for the first hour of ASA for students participating in the graduation program, parents must sign-out their children from ASA and walk them over to participate in the Graduation Ceremony.

HELP NEEDED:  If you have a large vehicle, Mrs. Dinerman needs your help with transporting our two potter's wheels to City of Industry for servicing.  We can help load them into your vehicle and Laguna Clay staff will unload.  Please contact Mrs. Dinerman if you are able to assist.

Middle School took time during Jewish Studies to reflect on their year together and worked on "warm fuzzies" for each other.  They took the time to write what they appreciated about one another and anonymously created beautiful take home mementos to help end the year on a positive note.
