Three Way Intersection
In observance of Yom Yerushalayim, which commemorates the reunification of Jerussalem, students left campus for the California Science Center's newest exhibit. Be it learning at the intersection of History, Science, and Religion - OR - visiting the intersection of three major world religions - Judaism, Christianity, and Islam - the California Science Center is the place to be.  After completing day 3 of their ERB testing, the students in grades 4-8 were treated with a field trip to the California Science Center where they viewed "Jerusalem 3D", a giant screen movie adventure highlighting such places as the Western Wall, Jordan River, Sea of Galilee, and the majestic mountains of Masada.  After the movie, the students walked through the Dead Sea Scroll Exhibit, one of the largest of its type ever mounted outside of Israel, which highlighted the manuscripts written and hidden in caves 2000 years ago, as well as a 3-ton stone from Jerusalem's Western Wall, and over 600 archaeological artifacts.

This field trip was made possible by generous support from the
Jewish Federation of the Greater San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys.
Make sure your voice is heard...
by completing and submitting the Parent Survey.  In order to compile the results and present them at the State of the School Evening program (Wednesday, 5/27, 7:30-8:30 pm) completed parent surveys must be submitted by midnight this Friday, May 15!  For your convenience, click the link below to go directly to the brief, 10-question survey.  Your answers are completely anonymous, so please be honest and tell us what you are thinking!
Reading (and Dance) Buddies
The middle school students partnered with the B'nai Simcha preschool students for buddy reading time.  In return, the little ones taught the older students their dance for counting the Omer.
