Lag BaOmer
Who knew that cloud coverage in the morning would result in one of the best Lag BaOmer celebrations ever?  With the decision to remain on campus already made, students gathered in their color teams and their spirit skyrocketed.  With activities both on the yard and in the Social Hall, each group leader cultivated a sense of teamwork and pride as the students competed in relay races and a water balloon toss, and then rotated stations for such activities as freeze dance, hula hoop, mummy wrap, and the human knot.  Look at the smiles and camaraderie among each color team.

In what other school would you see a 6th grader leaning on the shoulder of a 3rd grader, a 3rd grader hoisting up a kindergartner, or a kindergartner clinging on to a 5th grader?  It must be Weizmann Day School!

Announcements

In our ongoing efforts to ensure safety on our school campus, the students and staff participated in a lock down drill this past week.

Remember, next week is ERB testing for grades 3-8.  It is imperative that students arrive to school on time each day.  Once a test has begun, students may not enter the classroom; they will have to wait in the office and will miss taking that section of the test.  Also, help your students by ensuring they get plenty of rest and eat a healthy breakfast all week.

Middle School, along with fifth grade, will be going to view Ice World, a special presentation at Caltech, on Friday, May 8.
