How Will We Pack It All In?

It is hard to believe that we have only four weeks left of the 2013-14 school year. Where has the time gone? How proud we are of all of the accomplishments of our students, the growth and development of our learners, and the engagement of our lay volunteers and leaders.  Well, it is not over yet!  In the next few weeks many exciting programs are happening and we want you to join us.

Monday next week kindergarten through eighth grade students will be trekking to Victory Park for an afternoon of (potato) BBQ lunch and field activities in celebration of Lag BaOmer.

Wednesday evening, May 21, all parents are encouraged to join us for our annual State of the School presentation where you will hear the results of the recent Parent Survey, program updates, and staffing plans for the next school year.

Counting the Omer each day on the yard, our first grade students are also counting up to their special Weizmann rite of passage, Alef Consecration, which will be held on Tuesday, June 3, at 9:00 am. The students have worked so diligently all year to master their Hebrew reading and are now ready to receive their Siddurim, perform Hebrew songs, and conduct prayer services. This is a blessed tradition not to be missed!

You will also not want to miss the Art Show Gallery on Wednesday, June 11, from 6:00-7:00 pm in the Social Hall.  Each year we proudly display the talented and gifted handiwork of our students in a way that never ceases to astonish and amaze this viewer.

It is with much appreciation and praise that we acknowledge the culmination of our elementary and middle school education with the fifth grade Siyyum and eighth grade Graduation ceremonies on June 13 and June 16, respectively.  These are beloved school wide events that we would like to see the whole community attend in celebration of these milestones.  Conducted by our students, you will hear D'vrei Torah (lessons from our heritage), enjoy student presentations, and be wowed by their accomplishments.

More specific details about these end-of-the year events will be forthcoming.  For now please mark your calendars and plan to celebrate with us.

Shabbat Shalom!

~Lisa
