Activities and schedules are subject to change due to weather delays, material and equipment delays, funding changes, and coordination with other construction projects in order to reduce the impact on motorists. Project Limits:
Bunker Lake Boulevard - from 6th Avenue to 12th Avenue and 7th Avenue from 38th Lane to 145th Avenue NW

May, 2013 to Spring 2014

Project Overview: This will be a reconstruction project consisting of removal of unsuitable material from portions of Bunker Lake Boulevard, replacing the existing signal system at Bunker Lake Boulevard and 7th Avenue, along with the installation of a new signal system at 38th Avenue and Bunker Lake Boulevard. The project will improve traffic flow as well as safety through the corridor by increasing Bunker Lake Boulevard to four lanes, adding a raised median and shoulders. 7th Avenue, at Bunker Lake Boulevard, will also have four lanes with added turn lanes. During construction, traffic will experience significant delays due to full road closures.
UPDATE
Construction Activities and Upcoming Schedule: November 22, 2013- Minor turf establishments items are all that remain for requirements for this project wich will be completed during the week of November 25th.

Project Limits: Coon Rapids Blvd at 100th Lane
Project Timeline: July 2013

Project Overview:
Anoka County has applied for and been awarded funding under the Highway Safety Improvement Program to construct this project. The improvement involves closing the left turn lane on CSAH 1 into 100th Lane by constructing a raised center median.

Project Overview:
This project will upgrade the existing intersection with a new traffic signal and restriping. Federal funds have been awarded and will fund a portion of this project. Construction is scheduled to begin on September 9th. No road closures will be necessary during this construction project.

Lexington Avenue (CSAH 17) at Crosstown Boulevard (CSAH 18) Signal Installation Project

Project Overview: Anoka County will be installing a new traffic signal at the intersection of Lexington Avenue NE (CSAH 17) & Crosstown Boulevard NE (CSAH 18) in the City of Ham Lake. The project also includes the addition of a left turn lanes, right turn lanes, paved shoulder and painted median on Lexington Avenue.

This project is in winter suspension mode. The full signal system will be installed in the spring of 2014. |

Cities Impacted: Blaine and Ham Lake
Project Limits: Lexington Avenue from Main Street/125th Avenue (CSAH 14) to Bunker Lake Boulevard (CSAH 116)
Project Timeline: June 25, 2012 to Summer 2013

Project Overview: This project will reconstruct approximately 2.74 miles of Lexington Avenue between Main Street/125th Avenue in Blaine and Bunker Lake Boulevard in Ham Lake. The project will increase this stretch of roadway from two lanes to a divided six and four-lane highway, with dedicated left and right-turn lanes, new storm sewer, storm water treatment ponds, a new paved pedestrian trail, installation of a new traffic signal at Lexington Avenue and Bunker Lake Boulevard, and reconstruction of the existing traffic signal at Lexington Avenue and Main Street/125th Avenue.

Except for minor punch list items, this project is complete and open for traffic.

Project Overview: This project will consist of construction of a private entrance due to failing soils along the land bridge, east of Coon Creek Boulevard. Impact to the traveling public will be minimal as all of the work will be happening on the north shoulder.

I-35W Project Pedestrian Trail

Project Overview:
The work to be performed consists of a pedestrian bridge over 35W and the construction of the approach trail. Federal funds have been awarded to this project and will fund a portion of the project. No road closure will be required during construction of this project.
UPDATE
Construction Activities and Upcoming Schedule: November 22, 2013 -
Support piling was completed this past week on the south abutment. The upcoming week will see concrete being placed for the footing and forming for the stem. Construction on the north abutment and center pier have been completed. Crews will continue to work thru mid December.
