It's here! My favorite time of year for hot-tubbing. The nights are crisp, the days are shorter, and what better way to enjoy autumn than in your spa? Had a hectic summer? Take time to relax now, especially before the holidays pull you back into "busy". Grab your favorite beverage, invite a companion, slip in, and turn on the jets. Ahhhhhh..........Feel the stress and body aches gently bubble away.
Been awhile since you've used your spa? This is the perfect time to reintroduce yourself.

Spas don't hold a grudge, but you may have let the spa care slide over the summer, so take the time now to get it clean and balance your water chemistry. Make sure your hot tub is ready and waiting for you every time you want to use it. Come and see us--we can help you fall in love with it all over again (or put you in a brand new one!).

- This is a great time to replace a worn-out spa cover, so let us know if you would like us to order one for you. A spa cover that is in good condition will save money.
- Pool owners, come in to see us for fall cleaning supplies, like poles, nets and brushes (i.e. wind damage control). Also consider a solar cover to extend your pool season while we still have warm days.
- We have received new shipments of beautiful Fall Decorative Flags and Mats. Soon we will have our Christmas and Winter Flags/Mats on display.
- Our Fall/Winter "flavors" of Beanpod Candles have arrived. Maple Pumpkin Muffin will make them think you're baking the real thing! It's amazing what a little color and fragrance can do to dress up your home for the holidays.
- Visit us on Saturdays and you might catch us cooking on our Big Green Egg (in honor of "Eggtoberfest"). And if you buy an Egg now, you'll be ready to WOW your guests on Thanksgiving:)

FALL BACK IN TIME ON NOV. 4TH!
POOLS:
- SET YOUR TIME CLOCK BACK TOO!
- CLEAN YOUR POOL FILTER - and watch the pressure. You may have to clean it again when the winds arrive.
- KEEP YOUR SKIMMER BASKET EMPTIED.
- CHECK YOUR AUTOMATIC CLEANER - Make sure your automatic cleaner is running its best BEFORE the winds come. This is a good time to bring it in to us for a tune-up.
ABOVE-GROUND SPAS:
- Clean Your Spa - To clean the spa shell, use Surface Cleaner (a mild non-abrasive, non-sudsing cleaner) and a soft rag or nylon scrubber to remove dirt build-up.
- CLEAN YOUR SPA COVER: - Your vinyl spa cover is best cleaned and conditioned by following this step-by-step method: first, remove the cover and spray it lightly with a garden hose to loosen any dirt or debris that might have accumulated. Using Spa Cover Cleaner, promptly rinse with a garden hose. Rinse the bottom of the cover (do not use soap), and wipe it clean with a dry rag.
- Clean Your Spa Filter Cartridges - We recommend that you clean your spa filter cartridges every month. Using a garden hose, spray each cartridge and rotate while spraying to thoroughly remove any debris lodged between the filter pleats. Use Filter Cleaner to keep your filters clean and in good operating condition. Many of our customers love a tool called Filter Flosser, that saves time, labor, and water. Keep in mind that your filters should be replaced at least every three years.
- Replace Your Spa Water - Remember to drain your spa periodically (every 3-4 months) and refill according to the instructions outlined in your Owner's Manual. This eliminates detergent residue from bathing suits and soap film which may have accumulated in the spa water. We recommend using Spa Metal Gone when filling your spa, which removes metals (such as copper and iron) before they are introduced into the spa water.
