Graduation Announcement - June 3, 2016

DHS Graduation Ceremony to be held OUTDOORS in Sam Vitanza Stadium at 7:30 p.m. tonight

The Dickinson High School Class of 2016 Graduation Ceremony will be held outdoors tonight at 7:30 p.m. in Sam Vitanza Stadium. The plan is to have the students begin the processional from the goal post near the Field House promptly at 7:30 p.m. Looking at the forecasts we believe we will have a window of time to proceed with the outdoor graduation.

Should a rain storm develop, graduation could be delayed until it passes. Guests are asked to come prepared for that possibility and for possible wet bleachers in the stadium.

Making the decision for an outdoor or indoor ceremony is not an easy one as we strive to have the best possible graduation experience for our students with as many friends and family able to see it as possible.

Family and friends also have the option of viewing the graduation ceremony from home through a live stream via a link which will be displayed on the Dickinson ISD website homepage at www.dickinsonisd.org.
