Gator Football Playoff Game
Next Stop: Round 3 Regional Quarterfinal
Gators play Lamar at NRG
2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28
 
The Dickinson High School Gators kept fans on the edge of their seats at Saturday's football game and earned a hard-fought 26-23 win against the Pearland High School Oilers. The Gators kept a 7-0 lead for most of the game before Pearland scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter to tie the game 7-7 and send the teams into overtime. After four overtimes, a touchdown claimed the win for the Gators.

The win allows the Gators to advance to Round 3 of the UIL 6A Football Playoffs with a Regional Quarterfinal game against Lamar High School at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 28 in NRG Stadium.
Parking at NRG will open at 12 noon and gates into the stadium will open at 1 p.m. Dickinson will be the home team. The Gators are tentatively scheduled to leave DHS around 11:15 a.m. for anyone wanting to come out and cheer them on before they head to NRG.

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday break, special times have been set for advance ticket sales. They will be sold at the DHS Field House from:

7 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, November 23
8 a.m.-12 noon Tuesday, November 24
8 a.m.-12 noon Wednesday, November 25
8 a.m.-12 p.m. Friday, November 27

Advance prices are $6 for children/students and $11 for adults. All tickets purchased at the gate are $15. No student passes will be accepted for this playoff game. District, THSCA and THADA passes will be allowed for the holder only (no guests).
There will also be a $12 charge for parking at NRG.
 
No tailgating is allowed at NRG for this game. If you take a bag/purse with you into NRG, it can be no larger than 11x17 and it will be searched. Prohibited items include alcohol, banners in poor taste, bags larger than 11x17, backpacks, video cameras, illegal substances, coolers, bottles, flag/banner poles, outside food and beverages, weapons, noisemakers (including cowbells), beach balls, footballs, laptop computers and laser pens. Guests must be properly clothed to include shirts and shoes.

Dickinson ISD schools and offices will be closed the week of November 23-27 in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday. Students and staff will return on Monday, November 30.
