The decision has been made to keep Hughes Road Elementary students at Silbernagel Elementary for the remainder of the school day and dismiss at 3:30 p.m. The water is just not receding fast enough to allow the students to return to Hughes Road today. Car-riders will be available for pickup in the Silbernagel car-rider line. Buses will pick up students at Silbernagel and bring them home. Hughes Road buses will run approximately 20-30 minutes late; however, due to the increased number of buses at the school. We ask parents for their patience and understanding as we dismiss from the car-rider line as well as the late arrival of bus riders.
 
We are planning to have school as usual tomorrow at Hughes Road; however, we will have to wait and see how quickly the water in the parking lot recedes and if we get additional rain before tomorrow morning. Please check back to the district website for additional updates on tomorrow's plan.

A special thank you to the staff and students at both Silbernagel and Hughes Road, as well as our support staff in Food and Nutrition Services and Transportation, for going the extra mile to make this as normal a school day as possible. Students were all in classrooms learning and all were served a hot meal for lunch.
