Dickinson ISD employees, parents and students came together last week at the district's annual Stuff the Bus Food Drive to donate dozens of crates of food totaling more than 18,000 items to benefit the M.I. Lewis Social Service Center. In addition, nearly $4,000 in monetary donations was received, which will allow the food pantry to purchase additional food at a greatly reduced cost through the Galveston County Food Bank. All donations stay in the area helping families living within the Dickinson ISD boundaries.
Congratulations to our top three campuses in donations. They are first place, Hughes Road Elementary; second place, Barber Middle School; and third place, Calder Road Elementary.
