Chloe Mark and Alec Randle named
DHS Homecoming Queen and King

Donnie Little with jersey Despite heavy rain at times, Dickinson fans came out Friday night to cheer on the Gators at the annual Dickinson High School Homecoming Game. With just three minutes left, the game was stopped due to lightening and after about a 45-minute wait, officials called the game ending it in a 28-28 tie against Deer Park High School.

Earlier in the week, Class of 1978 alumnus Donnie Little was honored as the Grand Marshal of the Homecoming Parade and recognized at the Community Pep Rally with the retirement of his football jersey. Little is known for leading the 1977 DHS football team to a State Championship.

Also at the Community Pep Rally, awards for the Homecoming Parade were given out, including first place Hughes Road Elementary, second place Calder Road Elementary and third place for the Dickinson High School FFA Program.

2013 Homecoming Queen and KingSenior football player Alec Randle was named the Homecoming King at the Community Pep Rally. He was joined by the other four king candidates Justin Gitrey, Emmett Hussey, Marcus Ingram and Ramiro Morales. Plans were changed slightly on Friday to crown the Homecoming Queen at the student body pep rally during the school day instead of before the game in the evening because of the bad weather moving into the area. Senior Chloe Mark was named the 2013 Homecoming Queen and was joined by other queen candidates Alyssa Gonzales, Denise Salinas, Victoria Vo and Mallorie Watkins.

Underclassman Homecoming representatives included Deuce Diaz and Mercedes Nunez as Freshman Knight and Lady-in-Waiting, Jordan Myers and Mallory Moore as Sophomore Duke and Duchess and Stephen Hughes and Maria Santos as the Junior Prince and Princess.
