PITCH & PUTT UPDATES

Summer is flying by this year! But there is still time to get in more golf!!
 
Our Pitch & Putts are open at 8am daily. So get up early and take advantage of our Early Bird rates available from 8am to 10am Monday to Friday.
 
As of September 6th our hours of operation will be changing. We will be open from 9am to 6:30pm daily. Twilight hour rates apply one hour before close. The last day of sale for monthly passes will be September 10th.

STOCK UP BEFORE YOU TEE OFF!

Our Pitch & Putts stock locally sourced and made Beef and Pork Jerky by BKH. The meat is sourced from the Fraser Valley and the Jerky is made right at 16th and Fraser.
 
BKH Beef Jerky is made from the finest cut of Canadian beef. The Top Round is denuded so all you get is the leanest meat. At 18g of protein per 50g serving, you can enjoy it as a snack before or after your round. And if you have never tried Pork Jerky before here is your chance! Some people say it's better than beef, but we will leave that up to you.
 
Try BKH Jerky now at our Pitch & Putts as well as at the turn on our Championship Golf Courses. The Jerky now comes in re-sealable bags and is $6.95 (tax included).

Did you know that all three of our Pitch & Putts offer 20 round punch cards? 

Adult punch cards are only $190 plus tax. This means that your round of golf costs ONLY $9.50! The rate for seniors and juniors is $135 or $6.75 per round.

Punch cards are non-refundable and non-transferable but are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. So if you buy one today and don't use up all your rounds it is still valid for part of next season.


RECIPES FROM CHEF MARK
 
Mark has now been with Vancouver Parks Golf for two years and has been working hard to bring you new and exciting offerings. Watch for recipes that you can make at home from Mark throughout the season.

Chef Mark's Classic Peach Cobbler

Made with perfect fresh peaches at this time of year (or with canned peaches in the winter), classic peach cobbler is always a hit.

Ingredients:

Peach Base:
  • 6 large peaches, cut into thin wedges
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
For Biscuit Topping:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 stick cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup boiling water
Preparation:

 

Cook Peaches:

    1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
    2. Toss peaches with sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch in a 2 quart non-reactive baking dish and bake in middle of oven 10 minutes.

Make Topping while Peaches Bake:

    1. Stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Blend in butter with your fingertips or a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in water until just combined.
    2. Remove peaches from oven and drop spoonfuls of topping over them. Bake in middle of oven until topping is golden, about 25 minutes. (Topping will spread as it bakes.)
Serve with a scoop of ice cream and ENJOY!
