PARALLEL 49 NOW ON TAP
 
Last month we introduced Parallel 49 Craft Lager on tap at our three clubhouses. Our customers have been enjoying the craft beer option so this month we are brought in another local favorite from Parallel 49. Grab a brew, sit on one of our terrific patios and enjoy the view!
 
JERKFACE 9000 North West Wheat Ale from Parallel 49 is an an easy drinking American wheat ale dry hopped with Mosaic Hops. Juicy citrus, tropical, and floral hop notes sit atop a light grainy malt base giving the beer a very flavourful hop punch with a light refreshing body.

GOLF COURSE UPDATES

LANGARA HITTING BAYS
 
You may have already seen the construction underway to bring hitting bays to Langara. The area has been leveled and asphalt will be poured soon. Once completed the project will include four individual hitting bays and a golf cart turn-around area. No more excuses for not warming up before your round at Langara!

RECIPES FROM CHEF MARK

Spring Pea & Mint Soup

This soup is the essence of spring; its bright green colour will welcome freshness to your dinner table. To make it a bit fancy, place a small amount of crème fraiche in the middle and sprinkle with fresh cut chives.

Ingredients:
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1 small onion, small dice
  • 5 cups frozen peas
  • 3.5-4 cups chicken or vegetable stock
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup packed fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup crème fraiche
  • 3 tbsp. finely chopped fresh chives
Preparation:
 
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat; cook onion, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 5 minutes.

Stir in peas, broth, 2 cups water, salt and pepper; bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer until peas are soft, about 10 minutes. Stir in mint.

Puree soup in a blender in small batches until the soup is smooth. Can be served warm...but eat right away or you will lose that vibrant green or enjoy chilled.

Golfers register with us and receive a Preferred Player card. With each visit to one of our Championship golf courses you will be asked for your card. Each visit with a paid round of golf will be awarded a point. An 18 hole paid round will earn one point and a 9 hole paid round will earn half a point. Collect points on your Preferred Player card to reach the four set rewards levels.
