CLUBHOUSE NEWS
NEW BEER IN OUR CLUBHOUSES

Thirsty after your round? We have two new beer offerings now available.

Cass Beer - Brewed by the Oriental Brewing Company of South Korea this beer is similar to an American Lager and has 4.5% alcohol. It is pale yellow in color and crystal clear. It is pleasantly dry, with no after taste and refreshing after a round of golf.

Tsingtao BeerTsingtao's brewmasters craft their beer with ingredients from all over the world: yeast of German origin; barley malt from Australia, Canada and France; and high-quality hops and rice from Western China plus Fresh spring water from Mount Lao. It is 4.8% alcohol, golden in color, crisp and refreshing with a nutty and subtle sweet taste that will complement any choice of cuisine.

Chef Mark and his team have also been working on some new items that you will see on our daily specials boards in the coming weeks. We are also pleased to be brining back the Caesar and Sant Fe salads to our menus this week. Watch for other favorites to return throughout the spring.
5 TIPS TO GET READY FOR SPRING GOLF

1. If you have not played through the winter start with putting. You don't even have to leave home to work on putting, and it is one of the most important elements of the game. Set up an area in your house or office to practice and work on your stroke for 10 to 15 minutes a day. This is a great way to work out stress during the day as well. Breathe deep, and swing.

2. Do some spring cleaning. Get a wet, soapy towel and give your grips and your bag a good cleaning. If your grips are worn and slippery visit one of our golf shops to ask about a new set. Wipe down your clubs and clean out the grooves. Start the season fresh.

3. Your glutes are the all-important muscles that not only provide stability to your golf posture and power to your drives, but also protect the spine from the stress of making repetitive golf swingsStrong glutes allow the torso and shoulders to turn properly. To strengthen your glutes lie on your back with your knees bent and feet on the floor. Contract your glute muscles and push your pelvis toward the sky. Hold this position for 60 seconds.

4. Tees, balls, gloves, and markers. Do a quick count of the consumables used during a round. Often golfers receive these items for Christmas or birthday presents. Now is the time to restock your bag to be ready for that first round. Make a list of what needs to be replaced and get shopping.

5. Swing the club. No time yet for that first round? Just step outside your back door with your favourite club in hand and start swinging. In just a few minutes you will re-engage some of those muscles that are only used for golf and you will loosen up. Do this every day the week before you go out for the first time and you will see what a difference it makes. Just don't make divots in your lawn!

MORE ABOUT OUR GOLF COURSES
DID YOU KNOW...

That we have bat boxes at all three of our Championship Golf Courses to encourage these shy creatures to make there home here?

Why you may ask? Bats consume 3,000 or more mosquitoes and other insects nightly, and bats are less likely to be rabid than dogs are. Bats are responsible for up to 95 percent of the seed dispersal essential to the regeneration of forests.
