STANLEY PARK PITCH & PUTT IMPORTANT NOTICE

On Wednesday August 5th enjoy half the course for half the price!

A film crew will be using the front 9 holes at Stanley Park Pitch & Putt on Wednesday August 5th for a film shoot. Only the back 9 will be available to the public.

Golfers will be able to play the back nine once for half of our regular rate. If you would like to play a full 18 holes you can play the back nine twice for our regular price of $13.60 tax included.

Filming will be finished at 4pm and the full course will again be open for regular play.

PLAY 8 INCH CUP GOLF AT LANGARA

Due to the success of our 8 inch cup event at McCleery in June we are bringing 8 inch cup golf to Langara on August 9th. This is a great time to give Langara Golf Course a try! The greens are in great shape. The 8 inch cups will make putting on these challenging greens a lot of fun!

SEASONAL RECIPES FROM CHEF MARK

Fresh Green Bean and Plum Salad

Ingredients:

1 pound green beans, ends trimmed
5 plums, 1/4-inch-thick slices
1 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
2 Teaspoon honey
6 Chives
1/4 cup basil leaves
3 Tbsp. roasted almonds
Sea salt and freshly ground pepper

Directions:

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Prepare an ice bath in a large bowl. Add green beans to boiling water; cook until just tender, 2 to 3 minutes.
Drain beans, then transfer to ice bath until well chilled; drain.
Add green beans, cut plums, lemon juice, olive oil, honey and salt and pepper to bowl. Toss.
Rip the basil leaves into small pieces, toss salad lightly and place on platter.
Garnish with roasted almonds.

Enjoy with a nice glass of Chardonnay or Pinot Noir!
