  The Reviews Are In!

We are half way through our 2016 Summer Season under the stars filled with tremendous applause and loads of laughter. With several sold-out  nights at our amphitheater in Peninsula State Park, the reviews are rolling in and the critics and audiences are raving!

Check out TripAdvisor.com for the latest reviews from viewers like you. Also take three minutes to watch the video (link to the left) interview with author Matt Zembrowski on this year's World Premiere.

Doctor! Doctor! Doctor! Doctor! 2016
"Whatever ails Door County audiences in summer... Zembrowski's Doctor! Doctor!, and the sometimes utterly funky jokes that inspire the title provide a charming treatment for laughter and love in Peninsula Park."
- BroadwayWorld.com, Peggy Sue Dunigan

"Northern Sky Theater's new musical is like an ice cream sundae. It has wide appeal, many flavors and lots of blended subtleties."

"Multiple styles of music and humor...feisty characters all around"

"The show is love stories of multiple facets - people, place and desire to do something. Very affirming."
- WFRV, WeAreGreenBay.com, Warren Gerds

"The great awakening that ensues is glorious...Jim's doctoring has freed Sister Harbor's residents to give full voice to their best selves."
- Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Mike Fischer

No Bones About It  No Bones About It 2016
"Sometimes a dish just needs time to marinate so that one can fully appreciate its seasoning. Having now gone back for a second helping of "Bones" a year after my first taste, I'm happy to report that I enjoyed nearly every bite, served up by the exact same cast I'd seen last year."

"This show is clearly connecting with Northern Sky's patrons. I saw it on a miserable night that included a 20-minute rain delay, but the small audience waited it out, with a young group to my left filling the interval by humming the title song. While wet and cold, they were clearly having fun. So did I."
 - Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Mike Fischer

Lumberjacks in Love
Lumberjacks in Love 2016 "Lumberjacks is both a fun, accessible story about male camaraderie and an emotional exploration of how hard it can be to express what we feel, given settled expectations involving how we're supposed to behave and who we're supposed to love."

"I was struck anew by how prescient Alley and Kaplan were, in evoking the spirit of Jefferson's "Declaration" to imagine all it might mean for us to pursue our inalienable right to happiness - while delivering an entertaining product that appeals to kids of every age, from 9 to 90. This show will never grow old."
 - Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Mike Fischer

Guys & Does Returns This Fall Indoors
In less than six weeks, the hunt for the wily whitetail is on. Northern Sky Theater is bringing back the hit musical comedy that promises "more bang for the buck."

Guys & Does, by Frederick Heide, Lee Becker and Paul Libman, broke box office records and earned rave reviews during its premiere run with 54-straight sold out performances. A favorite with hunters and non-hunters alike, this show drew even larger audiences when it moved to the Door Community Auditorium for its second season and then had a successful statewide tour.

Warren Gerds of the Green Bay Press-Gazette called Guys & Does "knee-slap funny" and awarded it four out of four stars. The Door County Advocate wrote that it's one of Northern Sky's "most constantly funny and entertaining shows."

Don't miss your chance to see it this fall - September 2nd through October 15th, at the Door Community Auditorium in Fish Creek, WI. Guys & Does features a Packer-Friendly schedule and plays weekdays at 7:30PM and Saturdays at 4:00PM & 8:00PM. This year the original cast returns featuring Frederick 'Doc' Heide, Lee Becker, and Doug Mancheski.

And If Elected... Lightens the Presidential Race
And If Elected, created by David Peterson with additional material by Fred Alley & Jeffrey Herbst, is a musical romp through that mud-slinging, muckraking, national pastime - the Presidential Election. This year's cast will feature Jeffrey Herbst, Jake Endres, and Karen Mal.

"With the current political climate, this will be the wildest year ever to do And If Elected," stated Artistic Director, Jeffrey Herbst. "We hope, by looking back at campaigns past, that we'll offer a little humorous relief from what otherwise might make any sane man despair!"

And If Elected plays Thursdays, Fridays and Mondays at 7:30PM, Saturdays at 4:00PM & 7:30PM, and Sundays at 1:00PM for a limited run from September 29th - October 16th at the Old Gibraltar Town Hall near the Fish Creek Dock.

We recommend purchasing tickets in advance for this performance as it typically sells out the entire run.
Purchase tickets online or call our box office at 920-854-6117 Monday - Saturday 10AM - 4PM. General admission tickets are $23 for adults and $13 for students.
