FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 19, 2013 Contact: Holly Feldman, Manager of Marketing and Audience Development (920) 854-6117 [email protected] American Folklore Theatre Presents Home for the Holidays with AFT American Folklore Theatre (AFT) has announced the line-up for its annual holiday concert show at the Old Gibraltar Town Hall. Now in its seventh incarnation, "Home for the Holidays with AFT" will feature The Rhode Sisters. This feisty sister act has been called "the best cabaret act in Milwaukee" by Journal Sentinel theater critic Damien Jaques. The trio will present an evening of songs and stories gathered from their own unique holiday scrapbook. The all-new concert for 2013 will play for five performances from December 26th through December 31st. Molly Rhode is a regular performer at American Folklore Theatre, appearing this year in Muskie Love and Loose Lips Sink Ships. She also directed this season's premiere, Windjammers. Molly was recently heralded in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel as, "a talented triple-threat who has been acting, singing, and dancing in Milwaukee for more than two decades..." and was recognized as one of Milwaukee's up-and-coming directors. Alissa Rhode was recently featured in Tapestries: The Music of Carole King at the Third Avenue Playhouse and spent the past two summers at Big Top Chautauqua in Ladies of the Canyon. She also previously served as music director for AFT and composer/music director for Door Shakespeare. Angelyn Rhode makes a brief return to Wisconsin, literally traveling home for the holidays for this special family performance. She has spent the past decade in Florida working as a performer and educator at Disney World. The slightly raucous, slightly relevant Rhode Sisters will bring a hearty helping of tight harmony singing and healthy sibling rivalry to their concert. The performance offers the rare opportunity to see the Rhode family reunited together in song for the holidays! Evening performances of Home for the Holidays with AFT are scheduled for 7pm on December 26th, 27th, 28th, and 30th. Matinee performances will be at 4pm on December 28th and 31st. Tickets are $20 for adults and $12 for children. Advance tickets are available by calling (920) 854-6117, online at www.FolkloreTheatre.com, or by stopping in the AFT office, which is located at the Green Gables Shops in North Ephraim. All seats are General Admission. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the Old Gibraltar Town Hall beginning 45 minutes before each performance. As a special holiday treat, each show will also feature a drawing for gift certificates from local businesses. American Folklore Theatre is a non-profit professional theatre organization that produces original musical shows in repertory from June through August. AFT continues its performances into the fall with shows at the Door Community Auditorium September through October and over the Christmas holidays in local town halls.
