 | JOB UPDATE: Where We're Diggin' Now |
Even though the weather hasn't been cooperating for the past few weeks (months?), we are slogging through pouring concrete and getting pipe in the ground all around town.
We are currently working with NDC Construction on the Phillippi Shores Memory Care Facility in Sarasota near Phillippi Creek. Additionally, we are working at Sarasota High School for Tandem Construction, getting the bus loop ready for the coming school year.
One of the most amazing projects we have ever been selected to work on is the Patriot Plaza at Sarasota National Cemetery. Funded by the Patterson Foundation and being built by Willis A. Smith Construction, this project (seen below with rough grading complete) will honor those who have served our country. We couldn't be more proud to be involved. For more information please visit: http://www.patriotplaza.thepattersonfoundation.org.

 | Big Digger Day at Braden River Library
|
On a sunny afternoon in late June more than 25 families visited the Braden River Library on State Road 70 for "Big Digger Day." Our team worked in conjunction with Librarian Chris Culp to host the event. Alisa Bennett read stories and answered questions about construction to a fascinated group of children (and parents). After "Story Time" the group went outside to check out the "Big Digger" -- really a not-so-big CAT 305 Excavator, w here each child had an opportunity to sit in the cab and "play" operator. A fun time was had by all the families in attendance. Thank you to the Bennett crew for getting the digger to the library during a very busy time.
(The Braden River Library is the local branch of the Manatee County library system, just around the corner from our shop on 33rd Street East.)
