RECIPE: CHOCOLATE DIPPED PRETZELS
Prep Time: 10 min
Total Time: 10 min
Yield: 24 chocolate-dipped pretzel rods

1 - 12 oz pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tbsp shortening

2 dozen pretzel rods
Sprinkles & candies

1. Cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil.

2. Combine the choc chips and shortening in a large microwave-safe bowl, and microwave for 20 seconds at a time until the chocolate is melted, stirring after every 20-30 seconds. Do not overheat the chocolate!
3. Hold a rod by one end and dip it in the chocolate, leaving an inch or two uncovered. Shake to remove excess chocolate and place it on baking sheet. If you are using sprinkles or candies, sprinkle them on when the chocolate is still wet.

4. Place the pretzels in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to set the chocolate.

Construction Christmas Tree

Here's a close up of our awesome Construction Christmas Tree!
If you want to make your own it's easy! Instead of garland use caution tape and decorate with miniature traffic cones, roadway signs and, of course, tiny toy excavators, dump trucks and bulldozers as ornaments.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Sincerely,
