RECIPE: YUMMY BACON WRAPPED DATES
Prep Time: 10 min
Total Time: 45 min
Yield: Approx 40 dates

One of the easiest and most delicious appetizers I've ever eaten. And, admittedly, I NEVER thought that I liked dates until I ate these. You'll love them, too. I promise!!!

1 - pkg bacon
1 - pkg Pitted Medjool Dates
(we like the Bard Valley brand)

1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Cut all bacon strips in the package in half.

3. Wrap each individual date with a 1/2 slice of bacon. If you want to secure with a toothpick you can.

4. Place the dates on a baking sheet in a 350 degree oven.

5. Bake until bacon looks crispy, this can take between
25 and 35 minutes.

6. Eat 'em up!

Enjoy!!

Greetings!

Is it just me or did this year in particular fly by? As we welcome November and get ready to cast our vote in the election today and then zoom headlong into the crazy holiday season I seem to remember it taking FOREVER for Christmas to get here when I was a kid. But, of course, that was a looooong time ago. Happy reading, Friends!
Bennett Contracting Named Safety Winner at Equipment World Magazine's 2012 Contractor of Year Event in Las Vegas

We were delighted to be honored as the "Safety Award Winner" at the 2012 Equipment World Magazine Contractor of the Year event for 2012, sponsored by Caterpillar.

Contractor of the Year Award

Bennett Contracting will be featured in an upcoming issue of Equipment World Magazine and we will be sure to share that article with all of you once it is printed. Jason and Alisa received a trip to Las Vegas to particpate in an industry roundtable, the Contractor of the Year banquet and attend a NASCAR race as a guest of contest sponsor Caterpillar, Inc. We were able to meet Jeff Burton, driver of NASCAR's #31 Caterpillar Chevrolet. Pictured above are Jason and Alisa with Marcia Gruver-Doyle, Editor of Equipment World Magazine and Caterpillar Representative Steve Hinton.

Bennett Team Profile: Joe Zinkhan

Joe ZinkhanJoe Zinkhan started working at Bennett as our Dump Truck Driver more than three years ago. He came to us as an over the road trucker looking to spend more time at home than on the highway. Joe has always had a "can-do" attitude and in order to learn more about the construction business he decided to move into field operations. Joe is now supervising job sites and directing our crews when it comes to Concrete and Earthwork. Joe is even starting to learn the ropes of underground utility work. Originally from Bleeker, New York, Joe and his wife Jamie have one son, Jacob. In his spare time Joe plays competitive billiards and enjoys renovating their new house.
